Singapore’s Visible Thinking in Mathematics offers supplemental support for students who would benefit from additional guidance in the pictorial stage of Singapore’s Concrete to Pictorial to Abstract teaching method. This program provides step-by-step explanations and strategies to help students visualize concepts, enabling them to understand and solve problems visually before moving on to more abstract skills.

The program’s questions are designed to help students master concepts by presenting problems with similar contexts but different wording, helping them grasp the distinctions between similar concepts. It also promotes critical thinking by encouraging students to reflect on their problem-solving approaches.

Visible Thinking Math 2A is specifically designed for the first semester of Grade 2. Each chapter includes a thinking platform page that demonstrates the concept through examples, with teaching notes at the bottom to guide the lesson. This is followed by Attaining Mastery worksheet pages.

Topics covered in this workbook include numbers, addition, and subtraction up to 1000, as well as multiplication, division, and fractions. The workbook includes an answer key and contains consumable (non-reproducible) pages. It is intended for Grade 2 students.
