This Literature Kit from Classroom Complete Press is a helpful tool for children to develop foundational reading and literature skills. Literature provides new insights into life and language. The kit includes an easy-to-use teacher’s guide, student handouts, an answer key, graphic organizers, and a rubric. The teacher’s guide provides a summary of the story and a list of vocabulary words for each chapter. The student worksheets include before you read activities, which activate background knowledge, guide connections, and introduce vocabulary, and after you read activities, which check comprehension and provide opportunities for thoughtful consideration of the text. The answer key features columns of answers that allow teachers to quickly see the correct answers.

The kit is intended for grades 3-4 and includes classroom-reproducible pages and a consumable workbook. It is aligned with Common Core State Standards. Please note that the book, The Family Under the Bridge by Natalie Savage Carlson, is required and not included with this study guide.
