Description

The Initial Reading Deck consists of 100 cards (3 x 5 inches) designed for daily review of letter sounds to support reading. Each card displays a letter or letter cluster with identifying code marks and an accompanying illustration of a keyword. Students are prompted to name the keyword and isolate the corresponding sound. This resource is part of the Alphabet Phonics program, an ungraded multisensory curriculum that utilizes the Orton-Gillingham approach. This program aims to teach handwriting, spelling, reading, reading comprehension, and both oral and written expression.
