Description
Huey: The Line-Tracking Color-Sensing Robot from Thames & Kosmos is a robot designed to help kids learn about coding and robotics. With Huey, kids can build one of the 18 maps included in the full-color 16-page challenge book and figure out where to place the coding discs to help Huey find its way home. There are four levels of challenges which are appropriate for kids ages 5 and up. Beginner maps use nine map tiles while advanced ones use all 81 tiles! Kids can also create their own maps and then challenge their friends to solve them.
In the full-color 4-page instruction manual, kids can learn about how Huey’s color sensor works. Additionally, a bonus online challenge book includes more than 40 additional challenges – 60 challenges in all! The kit includes 115 pieces and the manual is 20 pages long. Best of all, Huey does not need a computer, tablet, or smartphone to operate. It’s the perfect hands-on screen-free introduction to the world of robotics and coding for kids aged 5 and up.
